Dr. Feryal Mousavi is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at George Washington University, where she also serves as Associate Program Director of the Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship Program. She provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of endocrine and metabolic conditions, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, pituitary and adrenal diseases, metabolic bone disease, and hormonal conditions related to menopause, PCOS, and pregnancy.
Dr. Mousavi earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Iran, where her doctoral dissertation was awarded the highest distinction. She completed her internal medicine internship at Weill Cornell Medicine, Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center, in New York, and her internal medicine residency at Capital Health System in New Jersey. She subsequently completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at George Washington University, where she joined the faculty.
Before her fellowship, Dr. Mousavi practiced as a primary care physician at Kaiser Permanente in Falls Church, Virginia. An engaged clinician-scholar, Dr. Mousavi maintains an active interest in research and academic medicine. She has co-authored multiple abstracts and publications and has presented her research at national meetings, including the Endocrine Society Annual Meeting and the American Thyroid Association Annual Meeting.
Dr. Mousavi is board certified in Internal Medicine. She is an active member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. She is fluent in English and Farsi.
